We offer a / pre-school/ kindergarten program and an after-school Spanish classes.
The majority of students that attend the Montessori Español program do not have a Spanish background or heritage. Within the classroom environment, older students translate for the new students when needed. The teachers abstain from speaking English to communicate with the children as we believe that the use of English will dissuade students from speaking Spanish, and take away from our fully immersed environment.
Young children will learn by observing the example of the older children whom in turn have the opportunity to teach the younger children while gaining a sense of responsibility, self-confidence and maturity. This environment promotes mutual cooperation rather than competition. Your child can start attending as soon as he/she turns two years old (being potty trained is not required).
