Founder & Director

Founder Rosario N. Sanchez, is a native of Monterrey, Mexico, with over 30 years of Montessori education experience. "Mrs. Charito” as she is affectionately known by her students, taught for 10 years at the Intercultura Montessori School in Oak Park, Illinois before opening Montessori Español in 2005.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) and realized her professional practice as a therapist for special-needs children at the CENNA Centro de Estudios Neurológicos Para Niños y Adolescentes.

She received her Montessori training at the Colegio Sierra Madre where she received her AMS American Montessori Society credentials in Early Childhood education. Colegio Montessori Sierra Madre is one of the most prestigious Montessori training academies and is accredited by the American Montessori Society.

After obtaining her credentials, she had opportunity to work at the Colegio Montessori Sierra Madre, obtaining a solid foundation in the Montessori system.

Mrs. Rosario was also the head of the preschool and kindergarten program at the Instituto Montessori Anahuac in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo Leon, Mexico,

Mrs. "Charito” has written for the ¡ExitoSpanish-language newspaper in Chicago, IL. She wrote in the Carrousel children’s column, in which she would choose from a variety of children songs and activities.

She has also worked for the City Colleges of Chicago, under the supervision of Chancellor Dr. Wayne Watson, writing about major childhood topics, full Spanish-immersion education within a Montessori environment, as well as of methods of teaching that she has developed with her many years of experience that have been implemented with great success throughout the years.

She has also successfully participated with the YWCA, teaching several courses in early childhood education.
